Northfound is a self-custodial treasury platform: yield on idle cash, global payments, chain-abstracted swaps, and role-based controls across four chains. Built as one team with Breakout Labs — strategy and engineering together — on Tridaz's agentic delivery model.
Business treasuries are stuck between two bad options: traditional banking (slow, bordered, near-zero yield, FX spreads that quietly eat margins) and raw DeFi (powerful, but operationally terrifying for a company — seed phrases, gas tokens, no clear books, no controls a CFO would sign off on).
Northfound's bet: professional-grade treasury operations, self-custodial by design (MPC), with the crypto plumbing abstracted away — for finance teams that have no interest in becoming crypto experts.
The hard parts, for those who ask: cross-chain bridging through Wormhole via Moonbeam with a written stranded-funds recovery runbook; fund-safety reconciliation patterns for rails where "timed out" must never mean "lost"; spoof-resistant transaction indexing that matches tokens by contract address, not fakeable symbols; and a mock-first architecture where the entire app runs with zero real keys. Written postmortems for every canary that taught us something.
the product, live
One self-custodial dashboard across four chains — yield vaults on Aave, MakerDAO and Morpho, spot holdings, and cash on Ethereum and Solana. The controls a CFO signs off on — team roles, an audit log, an address allowlist — sit one click away in the same nav. (Northfound's public demo — synthetic data.)
Chain-abstracted swaps: pick an asset class and the routing engine handles the chains, bridges and sponsored gas across seven provider integrations — so no one on the finance team thinks about which chain they're on.
Two things made Northfound possible at this size and speed.
Product strategy and engineering weren't phases with a handover document between them — Breakout Labs' fintech depth and Tridaz's delivery ran as the same standup: strategy decisions tested against engineering reality the same day, engineering trade-offs made with the product thesis in the room.
This is what our model looks like at full stretch — and these aren't estimates; they're pulled straight from the project's git history:
We won't claim a speed multiple here — Northfound had no traditional-delivery twin to race against (Privilio did; that's its story). What we can say plainly: a four-chain treasury platform of ~260k lines and 315 test files reached production deployment eight weeks after its first commit.
If you're building a product — fintech or otherwise — this is the engagement Northfound validates: a strategy sprint with Breakout Labs (from €8k), a prototype, then an agentic build with a named senior owning delivery. One team from first whiteboard to shipped product.
